Whether you are caring for a beloved partner, parent, or child, caring can be one of the most rewarding and challenging roles in life.
Supports are almost always extremely limited, worry a constant companion, and the day to day drudgery can have a massively negative affect on our mental wellbeing.
Even the most naturally positive among us can be reduced to a quivering wreck faced with the tsunami of demands placed upon us.
So what can you do to help you cope?
While caring for yourself might seem at first glance like a nice-to-have, but not essential - I beg to disagree.
Consider this, caring is a marathon, not a sprint.
If you don't find a way to support your mental wellbeing, resentment will start to creep in. Guilt will likely rear it's head and then shame gets added into the mix, causing a downward mental spiral in most of us that benefits no-one - least of all your beloved caree!
By signing up for this wellbeing program, the next four weeks can give you actionable skills to help you navigate the unique demands of life as a carer or parent of children with extra needs.
You will learn how to carve out mental space, how to find some peace of mind - just like being in the eye of a storm in the middle of a raging hurricane.
You'll learn how to navigate the waves of emotions you experience as a carer, and how to practice deep acceptance of your experience.
You'll have an opportunity to connect with other carers, and share ideas and tips with each other.
You'll also have the opportunity to get personalized support from our founder, Tara Killen in her open office hours online mindful coaching sessions.
Sign up today and start claiming your own peace of mind!
Course Curriculum
Hi, I’m Tara Killen
I have a Master of Science Degree in Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology with a special focus on Mindfulness Based approaches.
I've worked for over 20 years in the field of mental wellbeing, resilience and mindfulness.
I am passionate about bringing these tools to you as I have extensive personal experience in caring myself.
My amazing dad died last year after a long, hard journey with cancer and Alzheimer's disease and I am mom to three young children, two of whom are on the autism spectrum.
I know firsthand how important it is to care for our own mental health if we want to have the mental resources available to care for our loved ones.
I'm also passionate about research, and have extensively tested and adapted this award-winning course with over 450 carers and counting.
Research feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Carers have shared that they are finding greater joy in their lives, less emotional distress and an average reduction in overall stress levels by over 35%.
I'm committed to supporting your mental wellbeing as you care, so much so that if for any reason you decide this course is not for you, contact me or my team up to two weeks after signing up, and we'll send you a full refund. No questions asked. That's a promise.
It's my genuine wish to be of service to you, so please email me personally if you have any questions before joining in this program.
